SHOCKWAVE

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave was originally applied for the treatment of kidney stone fragmentation. It is then widely applied for treating musculoskeletal pathologies, for example tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder and ligamentous injuries.

Shockwave is a high energy sound wave which elicits subtle injuries and inflammatory changes. This can promote blood circulation and metabolism for speedy recovery. On the other hand, shockwave can also stimulate the release of analgesic substances for pain control.
